Master the Mic
Round One
Competitors will execute a professional-level cut and demonstrate strong stage presence. Judges will evaluate both the technical quality of the cut and the competitor’s ability to convey confidence and professionalism throughout the process. Four finalists will be selected to move on to Round Two.
Round Two
Four Finalists from Round One will return to the stage for a higher-stakes challenge that evaluates their full potential as educators and performers. They will be judged not only on the technical excellence demonstrated in their Round One cut, but also on their ability to expand that work into a compelling stage presentation. This includes: breaking down their technique in an instructive, audience-friendly way; showcasing confidence, presence, and command of the stage; and demonstrating the charisma and clarity expected from a top-tier educator. This round is about proving they can teach, inspire, and lead from the spotlight—not just cut.
