Why the Same Formula Gives Different Results Every Time
Session details:
Manufacturer directions can tell us how to use a product, but they can't evaluate the head of hair sitting in our chair, and THAT is half of our formula!
This class teaches stylists how to look beyond brand-specific rules and use hair science to make more informed color decisions. We'll explore the information the hair itself gives us and how factors like porosity, condition, previous chemistry and existing pigment can change the way a formula behaves.
The goal isn't to tell stylists what product to use. It's to give them a better understanding of the science so they can make more confident decisions with the products they already have.
Learning Outcomes:
Learn how to assess the hair before choosing chemistry
Understand how porosity can change color behavior and predictability
Explore why identical formulas can produce different results on different canvases
Recognize how previous chemical services can affect future color outcomes
Learn how understanding hair and color chemistry can reduce dependence on brand-specific rules and formulas
