Bio:
Dr. Charmain Jackman is an award-winning psychologist, TEDx speaker, and visionary entrepreneur with over two decades of experience helping BIPOC communities thrive. As founder and CEO of InnoPsych, she has connected more than 10,000 people with therapists of color and helps organizations embed culturally responsive wellbeing into their workplace culture. Her TEDx talk on emotional wellbeing at work challenges audiences to reclaim joy, authenticity, and balance in high-stress environments.
In the beauty space, Dr. Jackman is the co-creator of Care in the Chair, a joint initiative with BeautyLynk that turns every beauty space into a safe space. The program trains beauty professionals to recognize signs of domestic violence and human trafficking and to connect clients with resources safely and compassionately, transforming salons, barbershops, and spas into trusted hubs for healing and hope. She is also the author of The Black Therapist’s Guide to Private Practice and Entrepreneurship, equipping therapists to build profitable, values-driven practices that center authenticity and collective liberation.
Named a 2025 Innovator in Healthcare by the Boston Business Journal and featured in outlets including Oprah Daily, Essence, and The New York Times, Dr. Jackman is widely recognized as a thought leader advancing mental health equity.
